Operating Broadgate
Although Broadgate is a small layout it does have much operational potential. There are four sidings (five including the fiddle yard) across both the fueling and stabling parts of the layout.
Even if just shunting between these four, the layout always has something to be done. It is even possible to get an 04 or 08 to do some shunting with some small wagons.
Broadgate was designed to operate with the smallest amount of stock possible so there are only ten locos available for it. Most are shown below.
